The Setting

  • Our team is dedicated to ensuring all children's individual needs are met.
  • The setting ensures that there is a balance of adult-led and freely-chosen or child-initiated activities, delivered through indoor and outdoor play: by easy, open access resources. Children are encouraged to initiate play and the staff provide provocation to extend their play and learning opportunities.
  • Staff undertake sensitive observational assessment in order to plan to meet children's individual needs.
  • Staff plan and provide experiences which are appropriate to each child's stage of development as they progress towards the early learning goals.

Security

The main entrance is on CCTV and secured at all times, it can only be opened by a release button operated by a member of staff, all internal doors have key pads to gain entrance to all areas.

We have taken many steps to prevent intruders entering the premises. We have a panic button which is connected to Sefton Securities for assistance. Our outside area is supervised at all times and is on CCTV 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We also conduct termly and daily Risk Assessments.

Fire Drills

Will be carried out on a termly basis unless otherwise been notified by Waterloo Primary School where a full evacuation will take place.

Our fire point location is next to the Main Entrance gate in the front playground.
