Areas of Learning Goals

Our aims are:

1) Many children attend nursery soon after their third birthday attending part time or full time which could be their first experience of a group setting. It is important that we work in partnership with parents and other adults. These may include speech therapist, health visitors, district nurses, portage workers and teachers of the visually and hearing impaired also valuing and building on children's previous learning.

2) Plan and meet the diverse needs of all children, so that most will achieve and some, where appropriate, will go beyond the Early Learning Goals.
Stepping stones will show the knowledge, skills, and understanding by assessing and monitoring what children can do. This will help us identify when knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes have been achieved, so we can plan the next steps in the child's learning.
