Our Aims

At Next Steps, we aim to create a loving, relaxed atmosphere, where children can feel safe and secure while exploring new surroundings and gaining confidence from new experiences. We also aim to provide a stimulating environment by encouraging children to discover things for themselves and by offering fun and games activities to enhance all areas of development, preparing them for the more structured life of an infant school. The Nursery welcomes and encourages parent participation and offers them support from other professionals working to Ofsted guidelines.

Introduction Procedure

We feel it is very important to get off to a good start so the visits you make via registration are very important.

You will normally be invited to make visits before a date for starting is agreed upon. You will be expected to stay with your child during these visits, gaining an insight into what is available for your child and giving you an opportunity to ask any questions that may arise. On your child's first morning after registration, be prepared to stay with your child if necessary as it is important they feel comfortable with another adult before you leave.

Safety

To ensure safety at all times please ensure that you secure all doors when entering and leaving the building.
